RESERVATIONS
There are two major factors that allow
members to access the use of campsites on a drive up basis. Number on is that all of the
resorts are "Private Member Only" resort. Therefore, you are not competing with
the general public for campsites. Secondly, the license agreements each developer sign
with the affiliation is required to set aside a percentage of their campsites to be used only by
visiting affiliate members. These are campsites that the developer can not sell
memberships to. Between the private member only status and the campsites at each resort
reserved for visitor members resorts are generally available on a drive up basis. There
are however just under 20% of the resorts that history has proven drive up availability is
not always that certain. These resorts have been placed on what's known as the Advanced
Notification Status. This status will be specifically so noted on the directory page where
the map and driving directions are listed. These resorts do want to know when you are
arriving and for how many nights you plan to stay.
